In the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen, Elrond is said to have told Aragorn the grounds rules, so to speak, on his relationship with Arwen.
1) She shall not marry him till he becomes King.
2) She shall stay with her people until Elrond leaves the shores.
3)He didn't care if Aragorn was raised as his son, no fooling around.
He also tried his best to get Arwen to leave the shores.Do you agree with Elrond's strict ways? Or do you think he was being fair?

I think he was just being a dad. Even thought it wasn't really his right to dictate their lives, he was the master of Rivendell, and so I guess he had the "If you're under my roof, you abide by my rules," thing going. Still doesn't mean I agree with him, but it does kind of muddle things a bit. I know how the overprotective thing works.

You would wouldn't you mae? Your dad can be pretty strict...sometimes...okay not too much. At least not like Elrond. And yes, it's true, Elrond was just being a dad.
